Can anyone recommend anything non prescription that could help me get to sleep?

I wish I could sweetie, but I had to leave the land of non-prescrip and go prescrip. So far success with endep which is non addictive, mainly because it's one of those drugs developed for something else (pain, migraines) and discovered to have a sleepy side effect.

I can't even come up with the name of any of the non-prescrip that I had mild success. If I can remember any, I'll let you know.

*hugs*

Valerian. It's a natural sleep aid/sedative. I've never used it for sleep itself but I've used it to help lessen anxiety and it definitely helped with that! You can get Valerian from any chemist and I think some supermarkets sell it as well.

Benadryl. When I had insomnia in college, that was the doctor's recommendation to me.

I don't know if Ambien is OTC or prescrip, but it worked well when we were getting over jet lag. It's non-addictive, too. (At least, according to those who make it, I'm not sure they're entirely reliable!)
