Just a quick note to say I've been offline the past 3 months, which is why, if you sent me a comment, you haven't yet got an answer. :-) Right now my regular email is also not working for some reason -- it can receive messages but when I try to reply it says "Can't send messages to account 'Mog'" and "There is a connection failure", even though

I was just wondering/worrying about you the other day, so I am very, very happy to see you post. How far from Chicago are you? Nancy bought a car a few months ago, and I was thinking that maybe she and I could pack little Caity in the car and take a road trip to see you sometime, if you're not more than three or four hours away. Just a thought, lemme know what you think.

Hi Hon! First time I've been back online since the 17th, disgraceful! My regular email is still not working to send out, but still receives, eyeroll.

I'm about 3 hours from you, well, by Amtrak it's 2ish, not sure how many hours by car, probably more; maybe I'll try sending you a snailmail with address and whatnot, it's a little complicated, I'm out in the country and also I can't get to the doors of the house in my wheelchair, except the BACK door, which might work -- to let you in! I'd have to know when you were coming, everything I do these days I have to know well in advance so I can sleep right, have on a clean diaper, all sorts of silly stuff. :-) But it would sure be cool! Unfortunately I don't have anywhere for you to sleep here, I'm in the only spare bed, and, you know, not my house.

I sent you an e-mail with a possible solution to the problem with Outlook...

But you should be able to use Webmail okay. Granted, it won't save a copy of your outgoing e-mail on your iBook, but you could cc or bcc yourself and then save that.

I'm glad you're back online, even for little bits of time. Hang in there! NGU, NS! 8-)

PS: I'm on vacation this week and therefore not sitting in front of a computer all day. On the other hand, I'll be UP LATE OMG all week. 8-) Use webmail to buzz me if you're online.

You aren't going to believe this, but it never OCCURRED to me to send from Webmail! Of course maybe I thought that wouldn't work either, but I suspect it just never crossed my mind! I'll try that

Welcome back! I just sent you a LONG letter snailmail, so I won't repeat any of it here.

I suspect the problem with your e-mail has to do with the SMTP server setting. Hopefully Carene's suggestion is more specific.
