I did write one other one, it's further down in this journal (-pimps) haha, but I do Tezu/Fuji, usually. But somehow writing Oshitari/ Gakuto is very... fulfilling.

You have no idea how much I've forgotten about PoT. I didn't notice the Oshitari/Gakuto note in the title and was wondering Who is Yuushi, again? the whole way through. Because for some reason I associate his last name with him but not his first, a bad side-effect of the whole Japanese last-name-basis thing. And the image I conjured up was Choutarou, even though I knew he wasn't Yuushi. Woe.

But despite my Hyoutei-identity crisis, I really enjoyed this; you've made me really and truly like Gakuto for probably the first time in my life. Not because you wrote him into a likable person, but because I could imagine him acting like this and liked it. ♥♥

ANYWAY, the scary thing is, if I were a PoT character I might be a weird mix of Gakuto (because I'm whiny and bratty and diva-ly a lot) and Choutarou because I'm all no! don't say that! be nice! sometimes. HORROR OF HORRORS.

I LOVE HYOUTEI TOO though after so long an estrangement the only reason why, that I can remember, is Atobe.

But I do have vague memories of the other reasons, like Oshitari being really, really hot (and according to Grace, he speaks Kansai-ben, which is a major plus in my book), Choutarou being really cute and nice and having the most amazing serve, Shishido being snarky (+++) and passionate (++++), Jirou being Really Darn Cute, and in a small way, how amusing Kabaji's "Uss!"-es can get, even though his playing style is really annoying.

I'm referring to the Wikipedia article for the list of Hyoutei members, and the list has a Wakashi Hiyoshi on it, and it says he is captain-in-line... but he can't have been very interesting because I don't remember him at all (laughs)

The ending was so incredibly sweet (it's hard to find a fluffy Dirty Pair fic without smut) & I really loved your writing, it was like reading poetry. The character descriptions were amazing too. =)
