Lush is a wonderful store where they make their own soaps and lotions - everything is natural and cruelty-free. It's a bit pricey, but imho worth it:

Pee Wee's big Adventure is also one of my faves. Actually, I never liked Pee Wee until I saw that movie. And of course a lot of the credit goes to director Tim Burton who's now so well known for his distinct style, and who got his start with that movie (as did Danny Elfman as a film composer).

I love how all the locations - such as the dino truck-stop on Route 66 - are turned into such perfect settings for Pee Wee to inhabit. And, with so many good scenes, one of my favorites is: after the climactic chase, when the movie seems to be winding down, there's that extra bit where he leaves his bike to rescue the animals (even the snakes). That scene might seem extraneous but is TOTALLY important to the movie.

Now you've got me wanting to see it again - think I'll rent it. Hope you enjoyed tonight's showing!

Oh and how cool about Lush--I had no idea! My friend once parceled a number of their products to me from London on my birthday and I was heaven. And now it's at Lenox Mall!

Heh! Reminds me I haven't seen that for ages, must rent it. The scene with Large Marge always made me jump. In fact, I privately refer to Bilbo's Rivendell moment as 'doing a Large Marge'. You know the bit I mean!

I love how Lush name their products too. I once got a body-scrub soap called 'Buffy the Backside Slayer'.

I have 'Buffy the Backside Slayer'! Love that stuff. Whenever I go to California I always go to one of their stores. It's nice now that I can go whenever I want - or have money. :)
