If you are in India and if you use your credit card for payments in US dollars, use Paypal instead. Why? Paypal has a better exchange rate and charges to your card in Indian rupees. Right now it is Rs 46.x per USD, which is Rs 2 less than what my credit card charges.

It might help to think of it as a 4% cash-back card. ;-)
