Somehow, I have never taken extreme offence to people who subconciously abase me with their self-acclaimed 'witty' remarks hoping for a cheap laugh. But what irks me is when they drop to this level of degradation in order to exalt themselves as superior to appear better to everyone else. This whole 'promotion' ordeal at work has been blown way out
