I can't blame Thomas Hobbes for being a frigid and pessimistic man.
There must be a justifiable reason why he despised all humans & human nature itself.
My theory: He never got laid.

Somehow, I have never taken extreme offence to people who subconciously abase me with their self-acclaimed 'witty' remarks hoping for a cheap laugh. But what irks me is when they drop to this level of degradation in order to exalt themselves as superior to appear better to everyone else.
