I mean put yourself in a position where you cannot afford to feed your children by your own self. In a situation where you have to get $106.80 of formula on a WIC card. That's a pretty stressful situation, and you gonna tell me you won't need a smoke? I mean, does a woman not deserve a few fleeting moments of enjoyment earned on her own dime?

I mean, Donald Trump takes a government subsidy to build a luxury hotel to earn money so he can buy himself gold-plated toilet seats and you aint complaining about that.

I get my tuition subsidized by tax payers and then spend my own money on videogames. Aint nobody complain about that.

That makes since, but can you say that you did not earn that money for college by making good grades in highschool. I too get a little money for college, but I am required to make a certain GPA in order to keep that money, so I am working for it. Besides by going to college, you are getting education so that you will never have to be that poor. Give a man a fish... There is just something I find wrong with handouts.

And no, I don't think that you should be able to smoke when you are on welfare. Is it my fault that you are in that situation? Besides the comment was not directed at those people who do work, just not make enough money. I refer to those that REALLY do live off the government.

And, I think Donald Trump is an ass for doing that...

"but can you say that you did not earn that money for college by making good grades in highschool."

Ooh, honeychild. You'd be singing a different tune if you saw my transcript.

Basically, I'm just trying to say that the system is doing its job. The whole reason subsidies exist is to get people to do things they otherwise couldn't or wouldn't do, whether it be building a hotel, going to college, or feeding their babies. I'm glad that a baby is getting fed with my tax money. Are there abuses and flaws in the system? Of course there are, people always abuse anything they can get away with. We just need to tweak the design, not cancel the program.

I totally agree with having welfare in our society, we wouldn't be much of a civilized nation if we didn't. However, we DO need to change it ALOT. I just think that those abusers are too prevalent for the government to just ignore.

This person is an example of many women (race not considered) that come through my checkout line at Wal-Mart.
