ugh! So sorry. Braces suck, there's no easy way around it. I had an overbite too, so I experienced that. I also had TMJ and the braces seemed to cause some horrible jaw problems for me every now and then. And it didn't really fix my tmj either. Not to scare you. Maybe my orthodontist sucked...and getting them tightened sucks too. But it's worth it in the end. Good luck!

yeah i have TMJ too and these bite turbo things suck because they force me to keep my mouth semi-open all the time... which my jaw hates. oh well.

we'll see what happens!
