This had a really nice flow to it and the underlying constant stream of emotion worked really well. You didn't even need it to be explained to know that their split had been a bad one. It was very realistic as well, which was good. I'm glad that you finished it where you did, that sense of 'what happens next' works perfectly, since there is that little bit of hope for them. i loved everything. the story flowed so well and i liked how there were flashbacks but it was integrated effortlessly. the characterization was great too, not too over the top, but not underwhelming either and i felt like it was super realistic even though it was an AU.

That pretty much set the tone for their relationship, or whatever it was that they had. Complicated, forceful, short lived. The sort of mess that Jaebum just excels in.
i love this so so so much especially “the sort of mess that jaebum just excels in.” that line just got to me for some reason and it's just so accurate and him?

“Somewhere along the line, I guess,” replies Jinyoung. “Same way you picked up a new band, I guess. Had to find something to waste my time.”
