this sounds like a pretty awesome plan to me!
I envy your plan actually.
I'm still thinking the peace corps will be in my plan somewhere in the distant future. Where though, I am not sure. Then I will live the rest of my life selfishly.

I thought about the peace corps! They have different forms of Americorps too if you wanted to stay in the US. Like there is one in Jacksonville that deals with health and there's one that works with habitat for humanity.

I wanted to get involved with the one dealing with health, but it looked like it would take up too much time and I wouldn't have much time left for school and then I would fail and I'm not paying to re-take graduate classes. NO WAY.

And I say that if you did join the peace corps, that's giving more than 95 percent of most people ever will, so you can be selfish the rest of your life! =P

So what's so bad about being a traveling bum? That's pretty much exactly what I'm doing, except I'm also including "I never want a job where I have to wear professional clothing" on my list of what I don't want. I mean, I'm currently in Greece, homeless and jobless...come join me!

But hey, your five year plan sounds it like could work, and it definitely gives you something to look forward to when you're feeling down or particularly stressed about school in the next few years.

I don't ever want to wear professional clothing either. It just looks so awful. I see groups of business people in Jacksonville all the time and they all just look so clone-like and bored and not happy.

I don't ever want to be like that.

And yeah. My five year plan still sounds good to me at this point (4 days after I wrote this) haha. We'll see if it still sounds good in another 4 days.
