Dual Coppermines
So I found a dual Pentium III setup on ebay for 15 dollars and decided to go for it. Turns out better than I was expecting. It's a Tyan S1837 motherboard with 2 1000MHz Slot 1 Coppermines, 1GB ECC memory (4 256MB PC100 SDRAM), GeForce2MX AGP graphics card, and IO shield. Debian issues resolved
Decided to remove Gnome on my Athlon XP machine and install XFCE. I uninstalled Gnome after installing XFCE thinking there would be less issues. I followed the instructions on the Debian Wiki.
All went well except I lost my network connection within Xfce. Realized I had uninstalled Debian's network-manager package. I couldn't install it with Xfce ( Read more... ) -
LogJam II
Working on getting my desktop back up and running. Debian 8 would install but not start up, so I reverted back to 7. Instead of installing fresh I am currently upgrading by changing sources.list file. So far so good, I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Testing LogJam
Haven't posted here in forever. So what am I up to now? Well, I have a new to me computer, an IBM ThinkPad R60 (2006). It came with a Core Duo 1.83GHz and 1GB of RAM which I upgraded to a Core 2 Duo 2.00GHz and 3.0GB RAM. Installed Debian 8 AMD64. So... a lot has changed since I last posted. I dropped out of school, broke up with my girlfriend of four years, moved out of that apartment into a friend from high school's house, bought an 85 Escort with manual brakes, steering, and 4 speed.... sold said Escort for 50 dollars less than I paid for it, drank more often than I probably ever have, ( Read more... ) -

Michael Moore was in it, who I've decided to come around on. I always saw him as a sellout, using big media to shock people into believing stuff but maybe this isn't the case. Winter is coming
So, my little truck has been having issues. I replaced the clutch master cylinder but it turns out it's defective and leaked all the fluid out on my way home from work a while back. It was fun getting home without being able to use my clutch. I haven't had the time to replace it yet again so I've been on the bike ( Read more... )
