moonlight ramble was pretty cool. I kept up with and passed tons of spandex and aero bullshit on skinnies with my fat 2.25" tires and 5lb cooler of water on the front rack of my bike. Maybe I'm in better shape than I thought I was ( Read more... ) -

Well, turns out the moonlight ramble is next weekend instead. Went and saw boris at the firebird last night. It was pretty sweet, but I can't see myself getting into them beyond going to a concert. I have other bands that fill my niche of that noise, like melvins, merzbow, melt banana, etc. And I find those artists more interesting. -

bike stuff
A few weeks ago I switched out the stem on my bike. It was far too short, at 65mm. So I went to the bicycle works downtown and found a 3t Synthesis 110mm. Now I have the opposite problem. Too long. I'm thinking about tring a 90-100mm now, but I'm leaning towards 90. Maybe even an 85. I want it to look nice though. I found a Shimano 600 I like, but ( Read more... ) -
public transportation
January was my month for public transportation. I bought a monthly pass for $68.00 and was able to ride the buses and train wherever in Saint Louis County I wanted. It was worth the price in my opinion, but I'm skipping out on it this month, saving up to Greyhound it to Nashville, Tennessee in March.
