I got a kitty. named her mog. shes adorable. brought her home and she was completely CRWALING inFesTed with fleas. Luckily I saw them --although no person with working eyes could have missed em. I am so mad at the lady who gave her to me since she said on the phone for sure that the cats weren't outside and had NO exposure to fleas. (She also said

Go to the vet and get some CAPSTAR. Its amazing stuff. Kills all the fleas on an animal (its a pill) in 24 hours. Not very expensive either.

actually ordered some program® 30$ for 6 months, a once a month pill which renders fleas impotent! kinda neat. Between that and a collar i think she'll be happy (and us too!)

Sounds good. Capstar is used in extreme cases. Like what you'd outlined. So, instead of having to wash the cats, you just give them a pill and presto, all the fleas fall off and die. Its an amazing thing! Here, read about:

How wonderful!

I once had a dog who was allergic to fleas. She suffered so much it broke my heart. I tried every product available. When Program first came on the market I tried it too and found it really worked. It was a true blessing. I know the package will tell you to keep on using it every month but I found after a few doses the effect lasted for years. In Canada where the fleas just aren't around in the winter you probably only need to use it seasonally. I used it in conjunction with Advantage.

yeah we didn't need to use the program® actually. we just flea shampooed her. We kept her away from carpets until fleas were gone.

YAY! Now if only i can return the program® --its expensive!
