My apartment complex provides assigned parking spots for its tenants. Two weeks ago, they decided to kick everyone out of their spots to repaint them over the course of two days. The Machine of Death show was amazing and inspiring. shmitz and I had to take separate cars to fit my big cardboard machine, so it was two nightmare-parking-in-Hollywood encounters when it could have been one, but the performance went smoothly aside from that. So I joined the Sketchbook Project a little while before Comic-Con. It's an amazing program by the Brooklyn Art Library where they send you a tiny sketchbook that you fill with drawing of an appropriate theme. You send it back to them in January and it becomes part of their permanent collection, travelling through 6 states on tour ( Read more... )

Been trying to do more stuff on my DeviantArt account, including fanart things for The Meek and The Phoenix Requiem (I met the creators of both at Comic-Con last week, too!)
