Teenagers are the most amazing people to work with. They can break your heart one minute and make you feel like you're really living for a reason in the next minute. On the channel one website is an awesome geography game that taught me more world geography in three days than any of my classes in school (grad school and undergrad included...and I was a history major!) I just had the most wonderful day of my professional life. I am in Pittsburgh right now (well Cranberry) in a hotel by myself....and I am amazed at this conference. It is the National Council of Teachers of English...almost 7,000 English teachers are participating this weekend. Well...headed off to North Carolina today...tropical storm Irene is supposed to hit on Tuesday morning. Lovely. This is the ninth named tropical storm of the season.
