It is times like these that remind me how very, very much I love fandom. This has been moving pretty fast, but there have definitely been some developments. Most of these developments have been in the Fuck You Delicious We Are Leaving area, but there are also developments on the Del front. The period and the colon seem to be working for me, though in the case of a colon I got an error a couple of times (for the same tag) before it worked. I guess things are still shaky on that front. Exclamation marks still don't work. Don't know about other special characters. Oh, and when I click at my rating:PG tag, I'm also getting bookmarks tagged with rating:PG-13.

Google bookmarks has set up a "import delicious bookmarks" option. It keeps tags (or labels) and you can make lists which look shareable. It's not ideal but as an interim if you don't want to pay for pinboard it might help.

My special characters are all working now. The exclamation mark (!), ampersand (&), period (.), and of course the pairing slash (/) are now all just fine. Even my symbols like the heart (♥) and triangle (▲) returned results. Granted, it's not yet all results but it is at least working. Though commas will most likely never work as before, since they now use them as tag separators so they can support multiword tags.

With the promised return of the essentials features like bundles and tag subscriptions coming back shortly, frankly I'm a lot less worried than I was even yesterday. I'll probably still get a Pinboard just because, but if things are getting fixed then I'm a lot less likely to abandon ship on Delicious. They obviously just released this new launch WAY before it was ready. I'm going to have faith that things will be better in the next few days/weeks.

Yes, same. Though I did open a pinboard account as a back-up and I must say I'm a tiny bit in love.

Maybe it just needs time to, idk, pervade the whole site? My tags with colons in them weren't working an hour ago, but are fine now. I double-checked my other characters just in case and they are all still functional too, including the exclamation marks.

when i visit my network page it behaves like 'network' is an account and my username is a tag it doesn't have. what does your page look like?

They changed the url/name. Network is now following.

http://delicious.com/following

Mine only shows 20, and you can't view anyone past that first 20 (just like you couldn't with bookmarks yesterday). It's only a list of names, rather than an aggregation of your networks bookmarks. That means that if you want to check out what your network...er, who you're "following"...bookmarked, they you have to do so one-by-one. :P
