So, like many other fannish users of del, I am concerned about the loss of the community-driven fic/art recs that we now get from delicious. The opt-in policy AVOS has decided to implement means we're going to lose the links of inactive users, which means it's going to be more difficult to get recs and find things in fandom. Yahoo! has sold Delicious to AVOS, a new company started by the founders of YouTube. You can read about it on the Delicious blog and in the AVOS press release. You might also want to hit up the Transition FAQ for more details.

Looks like they want people to opt-in to an agreement that lets them transfer your bookmarks, etc. to AVOS when the time ( Read more... )

I want to talk about a project I did with the Dreamwidth (DW) comm scans_daily. Probably this will be a lot of tl;dr for everyone who isn't me. But I am a mod of this place!
