You know I think sleeves are an issue for everyone--haven't done many myself, and I would take an existing sleeve pattern to make it work--Or depending on the period, attatch the sleeves with ribbon--haha

The cap is the hardest part for me. I've never (well, only once) draped the entire thing. I try to start with an existing pattern that fits into the armhole, or work on it until it does. Only then do I start messing with the rest of it. Because then I can change the shape, go to two pieces, whatever, but I want to have a good cap to start with.
