I met up with a couple of good friends from college on Saturday night and we went to dinner at the Grand Lux Cafe in the Beverly Center, a chain of restaurants that are cousins to the Cheesecake Factory. When I visited NOLa (*cough*eighteenyearsago*cough*) we spent a lot of time at the Cafe Du Monde. It was open 24 hours and had two items on the menu, coffee and beignets.

Hmm, I like their style, clean and simple menu.

Sounds very dangerous to the waistline though. ;)

The place was always packed, too. Even if we went at 3 in the morning.

They have since added orange juice, but the menu is otherwise unchanged. (Well, as of June 2006, which is when I was last there.)
