Arrived in Taipei

I started my journey at 7:30 am on Dec. 18th, 2007 when I left for the Sacramento Airport. I arrived at 8:00 am only to find that the flights from Sac to San Francisco had been canceled and a bunch of us on International flights leaving from San Francisco were piled on a Super Shuttle

Glad to hear you made it safely! All I ever saw of Taipei was the airport (my layover was long enough to go into town, but it was the end of my trip last winter and I was exhausted).

I can see you not wanting to trek into town after such a long trip, especially with a 13 hour flight home ahead of you.

Yes, Oregon is on the list of possibilities. We'll see what the third week in March has to tell me about my future. =D

Your description of the traffic in Tapei reminds me of Saigon. Lots of mopeds, and some cars. No traffic signals or stop signs, so everyone taps their horns all the time, just to let the other vehicles know they're there.
