Trip out of Taipei to Dasi

The Twins' girlfriend, E, came over this morning and we went out for breakfast at around 10:00 am at an eatery at the local "open market" down the street. On side of the building has these small eateries along the wall. The one we went to is frequented by the Often and the proprietress quickly started chatting with them as we quickly took over

I spent half my childhood in the South, but I've never had chitlins. On the other hand, I could happily live on red beans and rice.

Is the fresh-squeezed sugar cane juice overly sweet? I'd imagine it that way, but you never know.

The sugar cane juice was not overly sweet, however, I have a feeling it was 1/2 water and 1/2 sugar cane juice. Overally, it was lightly sweet and very refreshing.

After chewing on fresh sugar cane sticks as part of dessert on the 25th, I remembered that fresh sugar cane juice is not overly sweet, just lightly sweet and refreshing so chances are it was completely fresh sugar cane juice that didn't need to be diluted.
