The data loss from the other week was nothing compared to what i've just found. I have a year where at least 33% of our invoices and payments do not exist. Fuck. Granted, it's from before I worked here, so I had nothing t do with it, but it's massive! I mean really massive. Unfortunately this is not the same issue, and we have no idea why it happened, when it happened or how to prevent it in the future. There is no pattern to what what lost. It makes absolutely no sense!!! As far as I know, this data could have been missing since 2003. It is not an easy fix - I'm talking about hundreds of invoices, etc. Thank you for the sympathy!!!

Ouch! Data loss sucks! We've been going through and having meetings about how to avoid it in the future and what has been causing it most often. And since my group is the one that houses the data, its critical that we arent the cause. Let the users lose their data, and we'll recover it, but if we do it...ohhhhh man shit hits the fan.

Sorry you have to deal with all that, too much stress if you ask me!
