Hopeless

On my crusade for getting fit, I had a salad for lunch. As soon as I finished, I started clearing up. Without thinking, the first thing that came to mind was, "A cookie would be great right now."

I just counted up the lunch calories: 353 (French onion soup made with low carb bread and 2 oz mozz.)

Matt and I have both noticed that when we get hungry or sleepy we envision the little meter from the Sims. And everyone in my dream last night had the little diamonds over their heads. So disturbing.

How can you be thinking of dieting at a time like this? Or, more appropriately, why? Don't answer that, 'coz you'll just be wrong.

It's so difficult to eat right at work b/c we don't have a microwave oven. And that's really when I want something hot the most- at lunch. I don't want to spend the money, so I try to wait until I leave. But then again, I have been working these crazy 10 and 11 hour days... and suddenly that scone is fat free and devoid of calories and in my tummy... oops... Only to eat real food once I am home at 8p- you know, just before bed?

Pish. What the hell is this weight loss? I'm just standing here on this plateau, and I don't see my weight going anywhere.

Fantastic Big Soup Noodle Bowls are REALLY good. Try Sesame/Miso, Spicy Thai and Spring Vegetable... About 225 calories, 2 grams of fat... But soup is pretty filling.

I didn't think about that one, but we DO have hot water on hand (go Starbucks!). Mmmmmmm.... Salad and soup, and one of those calcium chews to kill the sweets craving.... and tea. Yes, tea.

Ah, meal time Zen is Bliss.

Velamints (they used to sell them at Target) makes a chocolate/mint sugar free candy. Only 5 calories for several. They work pretty good for the sweet tooth. I usually try to make a cup of chai tea with french vanilla creamer and splenda. It's sweet, filling, and takes a while to drink...
