Just up and leaving.

It came to me that I need to go back to school.

I've kind of worked myself into a niche and there's no way I'm going to be able to get paid anywhere close to what I am, with my qualifications at any other company on the planet.

You can do it! I supported myself while in college. I worked at coffee shops and taught guitar and took anywhere from 14-20 units per semester. I worked really hard, but it was worth it and ended up being a great time in my life. Can you think of any jobs you might be able to do that have a flexible schedule? Two other details: my rent was 300-350 (El Cajon, of course) and i ended up with 11K in loan debt and about 3K in credit card debt. Not too bad, i guess.

there ia a website called fafsa.com it's a financial aid website it will calculate how much you are eligable for and everything like scholorships,gratns/free money and loans. You don't have to get loans if you don't want to but they have grants for things like having asthma:) seriously!AND .....you could move to Portland! Thre are LOTS of jobs here;) hehe! I am proud of you for taking that step Greg. Going back to school and quiting your job is a hard decision but I think you will be happy with that move!!!!!!

i worked my entire way through college, i did it by having a job that worked around my school hours and by keeping my financial needs really low, all i needed was gas money and book money, and some food here and there.
