Took the Bathurst streetcar down to Queen today.

Noticed that Rok Botique seems to be closed down now, or at least that's what the "for rent" sign in the window indicates to me. When did that happen?

Then I walk by 550 Queen St. W. and see that this is the prelaunch weekend for the club that's taken residence - Nocturne. With a gothy name ( Read more... )

I actually went in last night as I was walking by and was well, curious.
And you're right, their usual music probably won't interest you.

It was really really strange to be in the space last night.

I don't think I've ever actually heard him. I've been to events he has played at, but never at the time he has been playing.

ARGH! I cannot belive its a mainstream club.
And yes, you did hear that a few of the long time atendees of savage were looking to take it over. I know the Dj who runs devil made me do it was looking to pick up savage, and I myself asked my family to loan me the $$ to buy the place. It was bought pretty quickly from what I understand, before I put in my offer. regardless I hear that what he was asking for it was ridiculous.

Ah, it was that guy, I thought it was someone else.

I think I will still go in one night (but I'm not paying a cover) just to check it out and see what renovations etc were done. Still want do that with Wicked as well.
