[North watches the trees in awe, saying nothing, just taking it all in. He wonders where the Guardian is during all of this... Maybe he'll go see him later on if he can. For now though, he just keeps his distance and watches, wishing he could talk to the tree-folk but unable to attempt to do so in front of so many people.]

The yew tree approachs next. It stretches out a large, spindly hand, and shows a small pile of stones. They are all differently shaped and smooth to touch, as if water-warped. They each have a hole through the middle.

The yew's voice is a soft, slightly lisping whisper.]

Witch stones.

Look through the holes of these stones, and very little will be hidden from the one who does.

[Getting closer, North reaches out to the underside of Yew tree's hand and brushes it with his fingertips] We can really have these?

[Sebastian just stares. He can destruct forests on his own, raise storms in the sky but in front of those trees, before this Queen, he truly feels how this world has diminished him. He reaches to touch the stones but hesitates at the last second.]

What will we see ?

Things that no crown of our sisters and brothers will allow you to. [With a great creaking clatter, it lowers the stones to the ground, where they rest beside the offering of wood.

At this point, a tree, heavily laden with apples, comes forward with bundles in its arms. A birch comes out with another, but it is the apple tree which speaks.]

We bring fruits of the forest, and meat of the animals that live within. Add these to your stores and preserve them for the long winter months.

[He doesn't have the time to think about the riddle before the apple tree brings the fruits. Sebastian opens the bundles, they are perfect. He could bake so lovely pies with those ! He smiles and bows at the tree.]

Thank you. We'll make good use of those.
