JULY 27TH || WATCH MEETING
Hello, Demeleier! It is time for you monthly Watch meeting, which will be held by Valeria and Souji at 1 PM on the 27th, in the Town Hall.
For those of you who aren't familiar with the meetings, the Watch holds them in order to discuss Demeleier's current affairs and faery hijinks. Residents of the village who are not part of the Watch are welcome and encouraged to attend. There's also food unless Med'an, Kyouko, and Yuyuko (and possibly Allen?) eat it all. This is an OOC organization post just to keep everyone on the same page.
This meeting will begin with a formal transfer of leadership of the Watch from Souji to Valeria, its original head. Souji will remain as her second-in-command. Valeria will also formally introduce herself at this time. What, I didn't forget.

The Agenda
• General Fae Activity. Current topics include the Pillywiggin Troops seen in the village between Monday and Tuesday, Nessie, the appearances of the Far Dorocha, the black dogs, the Arken Sonney, and Puca around the village, and also the activity of the Tree Folk, Wood Woes, and Cu Sith in the forest. The increasing aggression of the ogres, small groups of which have been venturing into the village lately, will also be brought up. Feel free to have your character bring up and discuss any of fae activity mentioned in the recent game update, which can be found HERE. For reference, the OOC bestiary can be found HERE. This is largely open floor, and if residents have others things to bring up they are free to do so. That includes previous concerns.
• The Night Mare. Valeria will explain briefly what is known about this occurrence so far: 1) these dreams are shared by everybody who sleeps on a given night, 2) this is most likely caused by the fae, particularly by a horse sighted during previous occurrences by residents who remained awake, 3) the occurrence of these dreams is random in that there is no way to tell when they will be brought upon the village. She will open the floor so that residents can share any feedback they might have. Did anyone who remained awake see the horse or any other potentially responsible fae? Is there anyone who slept that did not experience the dreams? Did residents who dream notice anything in particular about the content of the dreams? Even the smallest detail might be helpful to know, so please share if your character has anything on their mind!
• Population Changes. Recent months have seen many more arrivals than departures and July is no exception. If there are any in particular of note, this would be the time and place to bring them up. Valeria will also pitch the growth trend as a point of discussion and point out that the number of arrivals is not offset by the number of departures. What does this mean for Demeleier?
• Missing Persons. There have been few disappearances and no confirmed missing persons. Of the three residents who died in the previous month, Ange and Karkat have returned. Adachi has not. If your character has anyone to add or subtract, please comment here.
• Wards & Effectiveness. The links of iron that were forged for each resident, the rowan crowns, the iron and rowan fortifications added to the village buildings. Those in attendance will be be asked for feedback about how well (or poorly) these things are working. Valeria and Souji will also look for an update in progress regarding refitting all the crofts with iron. Characters are highly encouraged to offer ideas for how better to protect individuals of the community as a whole! This is another open floor topic.
• Community Expansion/Improvement. Last meeting, it was mentioned that there plans for some rough farmland to be put into action. This will be brought up again along with the question of, "What's happening there?" The matter of the greenhouse will also be brought up at this time. The glass that was broken during Adachi's attack last month has not been repaired, but has been replaced with dried skins and is still in need of repairing. Anyone interested in helping is encouraged to make as much known and direct their interest to Thereth. People are welcome to make suggestions about what they'd like to see on the front of community expansion and improvement and discuss to how to make their wants happen.
• Resource Management/Gathering. An overview of current stocks and supplies will be given. The success of our hunting and gathering will be discussed, as well as what we're finding a lot of versus what's less common. Attention will be drawn to the need to begin discussion and preparation regarding the matter of stocking up for the winter. If someone present would like to volunteer to help with cooking duties at the inn, they will be given a chance to do so. (There is going to be a formal OOC post about resource management and gathering in the future. Please keep your eyes peeled for it!)
• Watch Recruitment, Restructuring, etc. Please comment in the RE: Joining the Watch subsection if your character is interested in joining the Watch or has recently joined so that we can update the roster accordingly and remember to state any partner or shift preferences also. If your character is a current member and has any partner or shift time preferences, please let us know here.
• Reports. Upon joining the Watch, all members received an explanation from Valeria and/or Souji about how to submit reports. Reports can be about the thing in the closet, encounters with various fae, change in fae activity in this or that area, suspicious behavior from a person, RECENT EVENTS, etc. Watch members are to submit oral or written reports to Valeria and/or Souji at least once a fortnight, even if just to let him know they haven't really encountered anything of note. Any noteworthy reports given can be left in the comments here for consideration.
• General Concerns, Questions, Suggestions. Any general concerns, questions, or suggestions had by anyone at the meeting will be addressed, too, so shoot them here and note that that's what it is / what would have been commented, asked, or suggested please!
• Open Floor. Open floor is exactly that. Anything goes here so long as it's Watch or community-oriented and/or related. That includes introductions, discussions regarding sparring, bartering, sharing of information, announcements, and other things.
