I was talking to a friend of mine the other day about whether or not "criticist" is a word. We decided it must be due to the fact that it sounds like a good occupation and anyone who would list that as their job should be granted poetic license to use it. F ( Read more... )

I'd hang out with you at that Halloween party, but my solipsistic beliefs dictate that you don't exist, so I'll have to catch you later. Perhaps you can argue in favor of your nonexistence to gain my imaginary favor?

Since I've overcome my solipsist ways I wonder if your favor is still imaginary. Since to you the only thing real is your mind then perhaps the favor that results from it is also real and to me, both your mind and favor are real since I'm no solipsist.

Unfortunately, if I were to try to argue in favor of my own nonexistence, thereby trying to validate your solipsist views, I would come to believe that your views don't exist, thereby negating the motivation to argue for it at all.

It would be a good party, though. Well, if it were to exist...

Maybe my time is better spent trying to convince you I *do* exist. I'll get back to you once I figure out how. :)
