my own elusive Pimpernel

Hi guys! I just finished the first book today and I am madly in love with both Sir Percy & Marguerite. I have the 1982 version on dvd but haven't watched it yet, and I read somewhere that it's actually based on one of the later Pimpernel books - is this true, and if so, how spoilery is it? I'm dying to see it, but I don't want to spoil my enjoyment ( Read more... )

Yep, the 1982 film is partially based on El Dorado. I wouldn't say that it's majorly spoilery for the book, but there might be a few elements that may be... less surprising? (Then again, it has been a while since I either read the book or watched the movie.)

hmmm....the real question is whether I can wait till I get paid on Monday to buy more books, or if I give in now and watch Jane Seymour being pretty...
