You could buy like two or three limited edition dolls a month with $3,000! :O

Damn that's a lot for a house. Of course that seems to be a pretty decent deal with all those features. I know in a few years I'll be looking and asking for advice. Anyways, where is this house located?

it's in royal palm beach, although i am also looking around in west palm beach in general. in some looking around online, there might also be some options although the odds are that the lowest i'll see is $250,000 so we'll see where it all falls into place.

Move out of Florida.

$3000 seems low actually for a $300,000 mortgage + living expenses. You have enough downpayment to avoid PMI?

haha, and be yet another to hightail it outta here :P As for the PMI, right now I don't have enough if the price ends up the way it currently is. gonna have to see how that all plays out.

Move here... >_>

lol. no really, if you like the house enough to want to buy it... Then I say see what option there are and do it. Just make sure you really want to be living there for as long as this mortgage is... because thats a long time.

You might want to look into getting some roomies/leasers to split the costs. I'm not ready to buy a house or anything, so I stick with rentals. If there are any other college types, they're probably in the same boat, put up notices around a college campus and wait for the emails if you go ahead and buy.

Well they say that there's always a hard way to do things, and you have to remember that as well. Shelling out however much for living will affect EVERYTHING. Including convention hopping and free time among other things. I would also recommend a rental, if you are in need to just get out, and roomies yes but be careful of your choices in roomies. But you have to sit and look at your individual needs - do you need something that big? Do you really want to waste your life paying for a building to call home?
Beautiful as it may be, it's a huge decision and a financial burden that will carry you a long time. It's not conducive to anyone's mental state to work just to pay the bills.
