The voting for the MLB All-Star Game has opened. I'm thrilled to death that my favorite Brave, Brian McCann, is on the ballot. He's a really solid ball player and has been very consistently good both through the end of last season when he moved up to the majors and so far this year as well. Is this anything like Nader trader?

M (who knows virtually nothing about baseball, but will vote for whoever you tell me to if that will make you happy -- on this and only this, so don't get any big ideas :)).

Ahhhh.

Back when Nader ran the first time (in 2000). People in states that were guaranteed to go to Bush (say, Alabama, for example) were encouraged to trade their vote for Gore to someone in a state like, say, Florida, who wanted to vote for Nader. Thus, Nader got the vote but didn't negatively affect the Democrats.
