Waiting at a village bus stop
Sitting and waiting at the Muthanallur bus stop for my friends to pick me up.(Why, is a long story.) A boy riding by, on a cycle on which he cannot reach the pedals. Old men slowly walking, puffing at beedies. After death...
Does one's community allow one to decide how the body can be disposed of, once the soul has left? I find that "this is how it is done" prevails very often, sometimes even over the person's expressed wishes, with relatives and friends joining in to add their opinions.
