I know we haven't talked in a really long time but I just want you to know how terribly sorry I am that this happened. My heart goes out to you. I can't believe this is true. Please know that you can always count on your old chat friends if you ever need someone to talk to. I will be thinking of you as you try to sort through this horrific tragedy. I can't imagine what you must have gone through being the one to find him. ((((((you)))))) Please take care of yourself.

I only ever knew derek via associations. But He was a pretty cool guy the handful of times I talked with him. I'm really sorry to hear what happened. Even though we never were much more then passing by you definately were a friend.
Rest in peace, man. You deserve at least that. It makes me think I should have appreciated you more as a friend and as a person during our time as roommates, and as high school buddies. I wish now that I'd kept in contact with you since that fall of 2002. I really do.
