Speaking of which, or rather, alluding to, I had the opportunity to use the line "Loneliness is the price of solitude" in conversation recently. My b/f broke up with me (again) and when he suggested that he needed more time alone, I whipped out that gem of a quote. Would Roger be proud? I hope so.
And yes, you are like you with a touch of Bogart. And you do too have a noir flair. (Which is a lot better than having a noir flare.)

I'm sorry to hear about the break-up. I've had a couple of those since we talked last. But I guess if they give you a chance to use your wit with (unaccustomed, in my case) panache, so much the better? And I do love that line.
