Happy World AIDS Day, everybody!
Yay! I like this day. It offers a chance to see sections of the AIDS quilt which is always moving and impressive creative expression. I love to see the ideas, the personalities that come alive in the memorials, it's great. Probably the best modern quilt as it does everything a quilt should. It's Folk Festival time!!!
I'm so excited! I LOVE this festival and it's just a few blocks from my house! YAY!

Tonight, a steel drum band leads the parade to open the festival. But I don't know if I'll be there or down at the new rehearsal space for Toliver's band. They are having their first full-set-up jam session tonight. ARGH! Too ( Read more... ) -

May Day '08
I got up very early, baked some spiritually charged bread, and made a Maypole in the driveway by tying ribbons to the spokes on my rainbow-striped sun umbrella.
