Linux
I installed Linux (Ubuntu version) on my laptop today. Overall, it was much less painful than I expected. The only thing I had to work at getting going was my wireless card, and even that turned out to be quite easy once I found out what I had to do (tell Ubuntu to start using it). Neat ideas
Seems a little starry-eyed, but still good overall I think. Not sure about the predictions of doom about halfway through, but we'll see. He's right about the neo-Luddites blowing shit up these days, and the threats to civilization. The big question is whether we'll be able to manage them. -
