One shouldn't rant about books. Books are wonderful, glorious things, as are libraries (just a side note). But I'm getting rather irritated by the increasing number of books that have good plots, and are well-written right up until the last page. Just spent the day watching the first three Star Wars episodes in preparation for reading this month's book club book (Hard Contact by Karen Traviss). The head, it hurts!

...when a girl can't get into a drag queen brunch when she wants to. Tried Perry's in DC for Sunday brunch, and was told the wait was 90 minutes. So we went to Napoleon's instead, but a waiter with an accent is not the same. My guest and I decided she should try to organize a drag brunch in Williamsburg with colonial attire required.
