A couple of months ago I submitted a poem I wrote to poetry.com and for a long time I thought nothing of it. The other day I got some snail mail saying they had selected me as a semifinalist in a contest to win $1000 and even if I don't win that, I will be published in a book they're compiling. Cause I'd just forget about the thing....besides, it's not like incredibly important things are constantly happening in my life. At least not until recently -- but the more I talk about them, the stranger they seem to get. So I'm just gonna shut my piehole now. -
