so, chatting with a few people this morning, the popular opinions is for my to re-app for status 3 on Ethan but to also app for 4 while I'm at it.

Are you high?!?! You just VOLUNTERILLY dropped from 3 to 2, and now you'e going back to 3? You hurt my head, sometimes.

A) You volunteered for the strip. This will make your app for 3 difficult, at best.

B) The addendum now indicates delays between buying levels of status. It will take 6 months, iirc, to be able to buy Status 4

By all means, prepare for the apps, but prepare for a hard time.

I think going back up right away devalues the stand that he took that got him so much cred. That being said, I believe there's a specific time window on how long before you can re-app, and I think Ethan would be very justified in halving it. I don't see 4 yet, though this is ammo for an eventual 4.

Well. I'm of a few opinions about this. I didn't think that you deserved the strip in the first place, but you did take it, therefore you need to live with the consequences, like you've said Icly.

I look at it this way though, everyone knows your name, and still sees you as valued... so even if you don't have the dots to use, per sae, you still have that standing in the eyes of many, so its not -necessary- that you apply directly. I would say bide your time for a bit, and build up a strong application for it. Show on a level that you are "taking your punishment" so to speak, but also don't let it defeat you. You are honorable, you have support, you have pride. Be Invictus, don't back down. Hell, everyone knows that you are still valued publicly.. let it be a game. If people talk down to you because your "only recognized." and "not valued."... see what happens. You obviously have a great deal of support publicly.. so let people risk public ire if they mock that support.
