Actually working on finishing up the unpacking.  Not saying that I'm going to finish up in the next two days, just that I'm working on finishing up.

The upper people at my work have converged and once again changed their minds.  i'll be starting as Department manager tomorrow morning at 8.  Part of what we'll be doing is figuring out when I'll get a weekend for this week.  hopefully I'll get saturday or sunday off as well, i'd like to try and meet up with a friend, assuming schedules agree.  ( Read more... )

My promotion has been delayed, turns out this upcomming Monday is mid-pay period.  So, I don't get this Saturday and Sunday off.  I was looking forward to sleeping in with Hubby.  Another time I suppose

So, yeah, today was off and tomorrow too.  not tomorrow and the next day.  so, a yay for having it off a damnit for going in and sitting around for half an hour waiting for my shift to start only to find out it doesn't.  But anyways, tomorrow I get to go in for a newspaper (discount and it's actually cheaper there ( Read more... )

So, I officially accepted the new job.  I'll be making $8.70/hour ($1.50 raise) and working 40 hours a week (8 hour increase) which means, not figuring in the taxes and such, I'll be making almost $400 more each month.  Enough to almost make one mortgage payment actually.  In six months I'll be eligible for insurance and in a year I'll be eligible ( Read more... )
