This is fabulous! I love how visual and well, tangible it is, everything Mikey's seeing and experiencing, and the unhurried and almost aimless feel of the narrative, reflecting their meanderings in the mall and all over Jersey. I think my favourite scene was when the three of them are sitting on the loading dock, Mikey in the middle and the other two huddled up to him. Such a lovely moment.

It felt strange writing a ficlet that was supposed to convey something totally normal and everyday but doing it in a format (fanfic) that often turns things into Big Events.
