It's eleven o'clock and Jacq is refusing her meds. I can't blame her. The girl who was my daughter has unfriended me on facebook so I don't even show as stepfather anymore. She's also taken Jacq off so she isn't listed as her mother. Message recieved and understood; she has a new mother now.

Not simply a lack of acknowledgement of being her 'dad', not a single word to me all day.

What upset me the most was Facebook - seeing all these friends sending and recieving Father's Day messages.

And that is the most painful part, knowing it is my failure. She knows I am not the individual who abandoned her. But she is angry at him and by her own admission taking her anger out on me. Father's Day is on Sunday 6th September; 4 days hence.

I've heard via her mother she won't do anything with me on Father's Day. She doesn't even want to get me a card.

Message received and understood.

Yesterday the girl who had been my daughter turned 17.
I said two words to her the whole day.
"Happy Birthday!"
To which I got the reply "... ... ...thanks".
To be honest I did later say "sorry" to getting in her way at her party and got the response "Wasn't you."
