Is it just me or is Ryanair starting to leave a really nasty, unpleasant feeling behind whenever you end up coming across them? I probably will fly with them again, but only if there is no other option (Irish in-laws mean I have to go over to Ireland quite a lot).

What annoys me isn't so much that you pay more, but that you've no way of knowing in advance what you're likely to pay. It feels like you can't make a comparison before arriving at check-in (fast queue, sir? another £5 please) so it's impossible to make meaningful decisions.

This fuels rage comparable only to trying to find the cheap tickets on the trainline...

Its not even the £5 for a fast queue. They all pull that one, but at least you know what you are buying (at least until its the queue for the bus to get you to the plane, not the plane itself :)).

The problem with Ryanair is the utter impossibility of buying their product at the quoted rate. It's like broadband advertising, only the broadband people all do it so the playing field is level. With Ryanair they are currently differentiating themselves by being dishonest, hence looking forward to their doom.
