Round 2 with BT

Following on from my last BT post, I find today that my bank account is down about £60 to BT. Turns out that they 'forgot' to remove the charge from my account and when I went to check my bill online (the only place I can check it) to see what the £60 charge was for, there was a technical fault.

Which they haven't fixed for about 4 days.

Did they take it via direct debit? If so then one phone call to your bank invoking the direct debit guarantee should have your money back in your account the same working day.

Last time I used this it was to get money back from Bristol City Council and it felt really good when they called me to complain that I had no right to take my money back from them!

It was by DD but currently BT have agreed they will put it back voluntarily. I will let them try and do so but I hadn't thought of that and I will remember it if needs be...
