Oddly enough I did genuinely enjoy most of it. I thought the bike would be horrendous but it turned out to be rather nice. The only downer was my knees gave up half way through the run and I had to mince rather than run the last half of the run in a state of dread that something serious would happen to them and I would get properly injured. Still, no long term harm done to me or my knees and I find myself in the odd position of recommending the experience to others.
Surely anyone who has been exercising solidly for eight whole hours (or even 6) is entitled to whiff a bit! I'm just in awe of the stamina necessary to keep going.
Also I think it's dead unfair that Elaine doesn't appear to have a bright red face or even look particularly sweaty. How does she do it?!?
It would at least give me the opportunity to come and support and return the massive favour you showed by turning up to do so at Wimbleball. Know your friends by their offers to buy burgers before you have had a chance to retrieve your kit.

As I've already said, I'll do a season of Standards before considering a half-Iron. One down, two to go.
