A few moments later a teenage boy with short red hair and no scars hops up off the couch, looking around curiously before wandering in the direction of what turns out to be the library. There's a spring in his step, and a walking stick lies forgotten beside the couch.

Wearing sunglasses and looking quite casually amused, slightly too-thin mouth quirked in a smile, Oberyn's bright red jacket says 'VIPER' across the back. He's leaning on the couch, people watching, feet on the table and smoking a cigarette with the kind of casual elegance that really shouldn't be allowed.

She's sitting on the porch, reading Roland Barthes's Mythologies, a book that nobody in her year has read. Why? Because she's already done all the mandatory reading, and she was ready for the next step. Even if Barthes won't be on her curriculum for another 10 years.
