Since the fire, Mildmay has a new room now, and a new walking stick (he's very glad that he didn't have Jashuki here, that would have been gutting to lose like that), but his leg still pains him after falling on it as he did and he's still got a bad cough from the smoke. Mildmay is sitting on a couch in the main room, still looking tired and a little pale but not near death like he was when he was dragged in from the front stairs. So he's easily found by any aquaintences who want to check up on him.

It's midafternoon, and there's a young red-haired man passed out on the porch of the mansion. Mildmay is lying unconcious and face still a few feet from the door, his breath coming in slow steaming puffs.
