Since the fire, Mildmay has a new room now, and a new walking stick (he's very glad that he didn't have Jashuki here, that would have been gutting to lose like that), but his leg still pains him after falling on it as he did and he's still got a bad cough from the smoke. And there's a visitor, because he -- somehow feels responsible for Mildmay. Pascal simply knocks gently on the door, waiting for permission.

He stops in his pacing and looks over, a bit surprised. "It's open," he rasps as he turns to face the door.

Pascal wanders in, then, hands in his pockets. "Good afternoon, Mildmay."

He's looking relaxed and sedate as ever, but then again, Pascal is rarely tetchy.

Even if he lost a year's worth of work in the fire. Really. He's fine. Totally fine.

"Hey," he says, still a bit surprised. "What're you doing here?" He doesn't mind but he hadn't expected it.

Anita doesn't knock. She pokes her head in, like the rude wench that she can be.

"... Mildmay?"

He looks up, startled by the sudden entrance, and it sets him off coughing for a moment. "Anita," he responds when he's got his breath back a bit.

"Oops." She clears her throat. "Sorry, didn't mean to startle you. You alright?"

He nods a little, leaning on his cane. "Yeah," he says, taking a careful breath. "I'm okay."

Phedre would know that stride anywhere. She's not in great shape either, but at least she can be out and about, though she might be expecting Sandor to come and throw her back in bed anytime. She never was very good at keeping still.

She pauses, counts, waits, and finally dares to knock. She's a bit leaner than before, wearing uncharacteristically loose robes, but nonetheless, she is Phedre.

"... Mildmay?"

He looks up in surprise and moves doorwards when he hears her voice. "Phedre?" He coughs a little before opening the door. "...Hey."

She smiles a little, shyly. "Good day." She takes a small step in his direction. "It has been a long time... Is this a good moment to visit?"

"Yeah, sure." He's leaning on his cane a bit more heavily than was normal and his voice is rough, but he seems pleased to see her. "How're you doing?'

Nurse Arriaga isn't going to ignore a cough, and much less so when it sounds oddly familiar.

Belize will rap at the door, though, in case.

"Ohay, there. Everything alright?"

"Yeah," he responds after a moment, his voice a bit rougher than usual. "I'm okay."

He's so very not. But he's in a stubborn mood today.

Belize pokes his head in, then. "Oh, hi. I thought it might be you." He smiles, a little. "Long time no see."

"Yeah," he says, coughing a little again as he moves to sit down. "Hey."

Felix is doing something, these days, that is imminently familiar to his little brother. That is, skulking around nervously, not quite looking at Mildmay and when he does only sideways and sort of nervously, the way he does when he knows he's screwed up and doesn't have the first idea of what to do about it.

Mildmay was trained to be aware of people nearby and perhaps he hears his brother nervously skulking outside the room. He looks at the door for a few moments, then makes his way to the door and opens it to look at Felix.

Felix nearly jumps, and then quickly goes back to his default of looking guilty. "--Mildmay," trying to avoid his gaze, though it's hard from this close of proximity.

"Felix, " he says after a moment, just looking at his brother. "What are you doing?"
