Aiden's actually the one who gets into the room first, toddling at top speed toward one of the balloons and grabbing for the string. Gabrielle and Chaosti hurry in after him, looking surprised by the sudden appearance of a party. Gabrielle grins and starts looking around for the perpetrator as Chaosti discretely tugs the balloon down to where Aiden can reach it.
Wilhelmina is standing, almost gaping on the stairs, very deerlike, very surprised, and very unsure. She looks at the balloons, at Aiden, at the food, at Chaosti, and almost looks as though she wants to just run away. People, oh no!
Aiden runs over to Gabrielle to show Mama his balloon, Chaosti looks around and notices Wilhelmina standing there. Her nervousness makes him bristle a little and he glances around for a moment in case there's anything else there that's frightening her. "Hello, Wilhelmina."
She starts, almost jumps, and looks almost more terrified. We realize that this is not helpful, but she doesn't actually really know Chaosti, not nearly well enough, and even a little bristling from him is unnerving.
Curufin is frustrated, thwarted, annoyed, and generally every other word that could conceivably describe pissed off elf. He's taken a few drinks. It's not his fault they were a little more potent than he's used to.
Curufinwe might be a little bit drunk. He is currently in the kitchen, leaning on the sink and looking out the window, frowning very seriously. No doubt his mind is on something important. Of course.
He drops his head down, palms braced against the side of the sink, murmurs something inaudible in which his father's name might be heard. A bit louder, "Stupidity shouldn't surprise me anymore."
Lucivar is not really a big party fan. All the same...
He is mostly here because Jaenelle has, finally, given him permission to talk to elves again. And he wants to see his brothers. He wants to see Ambarussa, especially, but he also wants to see Caranthir. They have things to discuss.
He hopes it goes well. However, the prickly temper has been on edge lately, and Galadriel's story didn't help. Though it does mean he wants to speak with Finrod, if he gets the chance.
The twins aren't much in a party mood either, but when one pokes his head into the room and sees the party decorations they stop, and when they spot Lucivar in there they walk behind him and quietly each come up on either side. "H'lo."
Lucivar almost tenses, though not quite, and then looks at both of them, though hesitating to give them the hug he wants to. He does offer a very small wry smile, though. "Hello. Guessing you're not responsible for this?"
Oberyn loves parties! Everything about them! Food, drink, wine, women, and plenty of chances to hunt down inconvenient Cleganes. Mostly, though, the women. He wants to talk to his. Though for different reasons. He's curious how Angelique feels about this adoption business, and, well, Phedre.
However, being the social thing that he is, and standing out like a thumb in red and orange clothing today, he is completely willing to talk to anyone. The children are the only ones at risk of not being hit on.
Phedre would certainly like to see Oberyn - it has been a while, and she does care about him more than she lets on. She'll wander over and stand next to him, companionably.
It doesn't take him long. He looks up, almost grinning a little. "Care to sit down, lady?" He's in a good mood, and pleased to see her - it shows. He doesn't bother to hide how much he likes her.
Henry can only, of course, come out after dark. But he does come down, and looks around at the decorations with slightly raised eyebrows. "Festive, it seems," he murmurs, though quietly, and pours himself a glass of cider only to sniff. It still smells good, even if he wouldn't want to drink it.
It's not impossible that his fiance - long term fiance, it seems - is around as well, carefully avoiding elves and very happy to see him. She'll almost glomp him and nearly make him spill his drink. "Henry!"
He would really like to be more than a fiancee. Things are just so frustrating. But glomped, and he does lose his drink, but is already laughing and turning to embrace her back. "Anita, you got me all wet..." Mock whining.

She's not above a little eavesdropping, once in a while.

"No idea who it was, either." One nudges him with an elbow.
"So, what've you been up to? Been a while."
